Department of Economics

The Department was established in 1946. The Department has been offering under graduate courses in Economics since inception At present total strength of the faculty is 4 (four). All are working in the sanction post. One is Associate Professor and rests are assistant Professor. At present total students strength is 273. The Teacher student ratio 7.55. The Department has been offering both the Major and General courses. The Department is also offering two Enrichment courses like Entrepreneurship development certificate course, and Applied Statistics with SPSS certificate course. The main vision of the department is to make the students capable of critical economic analysis related to micro and macro variables.
